Telhio's 90-Day Challenge Leads To $124K Donation

COLUMBUS, Ohio– Telhio Credit Union completed its third round of the 90-Day Challenge, donating $77,200 to Central Ohio charities, bringing the campaign total to $124,700. The donation will be divided among three local charities: Ronald McDonald House ($43,700), Franklin County Children’s Services ($18,000), and Mid-Ohio Food Bank ($15,500).

The 90-Day Challenge invites individuals to open an account with Telhio Credit Union and receive $50. When new members remain in the credit union for at least 90 days, Telhio matches that amount, donating $50 to one of three local charities from which the new member can choose. The campaign started began in February 2015 and runs through May 31, 2017.

Since February 2015, the credit union has donated to Ronald McDonald House ($65,400), the Mid-Ohio Food Bank ($31,800) and the Franklin County Children Services Holiday Wish ($27,500).
"At Telhio Credit Union, we keep your money local, giving you the opportunity to buy homes and open businesses right here in Central Ohio," said Jessica Bing, Chief Communications Officer, Telhio Credit Union. "The 90-Day Challenge adheres to the emphasis on community spirit, and we are thrilled to be continuing it.”

Since its commencement, the 90-Day Challenge has contributed over 67,200 meals, 57,780 pounds of food, 3,270 night stays for families with a hospitalized child and 2,750 toys for children in need to the Central Ohio community.
