ST. JOHNS, Mich. – Technology took center stage at the recent open house of LAFCU’s new St. Johns branch as attendees participated in demonstrations of some of the advanced member service options available via state-of-the-art technology.
“The eyes of the nation’s largest providers of financial service technology are watching what we do here in St. Johns,” said Patrick Spyke, executive vice president of LAFCU. “We have partnered with companies like NCR to be on the forefront of developing services that are more accessible, convenient and efficient in order to better meet member needs.”
The technology on display included two interactive teller machines (ITMs) and LAFCU’s Smart Office.
The ITMs, both located in the drive-thru lanes, blend ATM technology and face-to-face teller interaction via a video screen. They provide a more personalized interaction in which the video-access tellers can respond to the individual member’s needs.
Inside the new St. Johns branch, a member service office is equipped as a LAFCU Smart Office. It has the technology that enables members to virtually and securely interact with LAFCU financial specialists located off-site.
The open house also provided LAFCU officials the opportunity to present a $5,000 donation to the City of St. Johns to help fund a proposed community water spray park.
