Tampa Bay FCU ATM Murual Honors City Workers

TAMPA, Fla.–Tampa Bay Federal Credit newest ATM features a mural depicting the workers of the credit union’s largest community partner, the City of Tampa.

The ATM located at Tampa Bay Federal’s Ybor Heights Service Center has been a landmark in the community for many years. Tampa Bay Federal commissioned artist Carlos Pons to update the ATM with the beautiful artwork at the location on the property at 3815 N. Nebraska Ave.

Pons has worked as an art instructor at a local organization working with adults with disabilities for four years, and is currently a full time fine artist who specializes in studio art and murals. The ATM illustrates Carlos’ attention to detail and natural sense of color that brings to life the beautiful mural of the city’s workers, the credit union said. Each side of the ATMs highlights a different department of the City of Tampa’s workers.

“We really wanted to do something creative with our ATM while sharing our appreciation for the City of Tampa and its workers,” according to Lori Mills, who first pitched the idea to paint the ATM instead of a simple refresh. “The mural is a reflection of the unique neighborhood the credit union has been a part of for over 80 years.”

The feedback from both Tampa Bay Federal’s members and employees have been nothing short of positive.

“It’s really nice to hear the positive feedback from our members, especially those who work for the city and the deep sense of appreciation they feel when they use our ATM,” said Gabriel Perez, sales specialist.
