JACKSON, Mich.— TRUE Community Credit Union said it is partnering with Grow Jackson to launch the River & Rail Farm Stop, a new neighborhood-scale grocery and community gathering space in Jackson County aimed at expanding access to fresh food while supporting local growers.
The new venture will offer local and seasonal produce, dairy products, meats, bread, pantry staples, and a curated beer and wine selection, along with a café and patio designed to create a community-focused destination tied to the region’s agricultural roots.
TRUE Community CU President/CEO Chrissy Siders said the project aligns with the credit union’s mission to invest in “legacy-defining moments” for the community, calling the Farm Stop an initiative that brings people together, supports local producers and helps strengthen Jackson for the long term.
Grow Jackson said the River & Rail Farm Stop will also serve as a key part of its broader Food Hub ecosystem, helping anchor food purchasing, aggregation and distribution efforts in the area. Executive Director and Founder Jacob Inosencio said the project is intended to improve access to healthy food, address food insecurity and create a more sustainable local food system for Jackson County residents.
