HOUSTON–TDECU’s Candace Strother was on-hand with The Women’s Empowerment Foundation (TWEF), providing financial literacy and educational support. Attendees were presented with information to assist with rebuilding credit, budgeting support and personal financial planning. In addition to the formal presentation, those in attendance were given the opportunity to ask questions and participate in a group discussion regarding their personal financial goals and how to achieve them.
When asked about the presentation and what it means to be a part of an organization that gives back to the community, Candace said, “I’m honored and so thankful to work for TDECU. One of the things I feel very strongly about is giving back and being able to work for an organization that supports these efforts is priceless. It’s a wonderful feeling to inspire someone else to take action and make steps towards bettering their future.”
TWEF is a local non-profit organization geared towards mentoring families from all walks of life; helping them reach their fullest potential in the areas of personal development, business, education, finances and socio-economic development. Programs offered by TWEF are free to the public.
