LAKE JACKSON, Texas — TDECU announced that Anne Allstott, Angleton Member Center Manager, has been named 2018-2019 Chairwoman of the Junior Achievement of Brazoria County.
Allstott was elected and installed at a recent Junior Achievement luncheon. The organization will look to Allstott to lead the Board of Directors and volunteers as they strive to drive financial literacy, entrepreneurial and work readiness programs for local students, the CU said.
"With Allstott’s guidance, Junior Achievement plans to utilize grant money to reach students at the 58 Title I campuses around Brazoria County. Outreach efforts will be in conjunction with the volunteer involvement of various affiliates as they make Junior Achievement available to the most vulnerable students in Brazoria County. Student programs are designed to increase self-esteem, encourage school involvement, foster workplace skills, create an understanding of financial literacy and identify successful career paths for the students," the CU said.
