LAKE JACKSON, Texas-- To thank first responders for their selfless service, TDECU recently partnered with Talk About Good and Mick Smokin BBQ and Catering to provide meals to local hospitals, EMS workers and fire departments.
TDECU provided 130 meals to first responders in communities across the southern greater Houston area. TDECU distributed 60 lunches to all EMS workers on staff at Fort Bend County EMS, 10 lunches to all staff at Pearland Fire Department, 40 lunches to the emergency room staff at University of Texas Medical Branch-Angleton, and 20 lunches to the emergency room staff at St. Luke’s Lake Jackson.
“Though we know these meals are a small token of gratitude, it’s just our way of doing what we can to serve those who serve us,” remarked TDECU Vice President of Strategic Partnerships, Josh Brian. “We know nothing can truly repay first responders for their service, but it’s heartwarming to see the appreciation on the faces of these selfless heroes. They’re doing everything they can for us, so we need to do everything we can for them, too.”
