LAKE JACKSON, Texas–As students head back to school – whether virtually or in person –TDECU reports it has stepped up to support their educational needs. Most recently, TDECU said it contributed $14,400 to Communities in Schools and $3,833 to Pasadena ISD Education Foundation to sponsor programs that help enrich student learning.
TDECU’s support of Communities in Schools-Southeast Harris & Brazoria County provides mental health/crisis intervention, emergency assistance and basic needs to 1,028 students and families in Brazosport, Columbia-Brazoria, Angleton and Pasadena Independent School Districts.
The credit union’s partnership with Pasadena ISD Education Foundation sponsors the Touch Math grant to support 3rd and 4th-grade students at Southbelt Elementary School. Touch Math is an innovative, multisensory approach to help increase student performance in mathematics and critical thinking. Program concepts include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, time, measurement, money and more.
