LOWELL, Mass. – On World Kindness Day, Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union surprised customers at the Fletcher Street Market Basket with gift cards as part of its Small Acts That Give Back initiative.
For the past three years, Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union’s president and CEO, Mark Cochran, and team members surprised shoppers by handing out 100, $15 gift cards to assist with their shopping.
“We’re happy to give back to the community we care so much about in unique and meaningful ways,” said Cochran. “This year has been tough on everyone. We wanted to bring some joy to others in celebration of World Kindness Day.”
Jeanne D’Arc’s Small Acts That Give Back initiative includes various campaigns throughout the year giving back to the community in some small way. The current campaign is a gas card giveaway surrounding the theme, “Drive Local, Shop Local,” encouraging people to shop locally in support of local businesses.
Ten winners will each be awarded a $50 gas card.
