TAMPA, Fla.--Suncoast Credit Union continues its dedication to hurricane recovery efforts with a $250,000 donation to the American Red Cross of Central Florida.
This latest contribution, presented on Wednesday, is part of Suncoast’s $850,000 statewide relief commitment to provide critical aid to Floridians facing immediate and long-term challenges following the storms.
The $850,000 commitment from Suncoast Credit Union focuses on key areas essential to recovery: hunger relief, crisis management, and education. By channeling resources into these priority areas, Suncoast aims to bridge critical needs and create lasting impact for affected families and individuals. The funds directed to the American Red Cross will support a comprehensive range of services, including emergency shelter, food distribution, and crisis response, along with resources for ongoing recovery and rebuilding.
“As Floridians recover from the severe impacts of Hurricanes Helene and Milton, Suncoast Credit Union is committed to standing beside our communities in rebuilding lives and restoring hope,” said Kevin Johnson, President and CEO, Suncoast Credit Union. “Through our partnership with the American Red Cross of Central Florida, we aim to bridge the resource gap for families and reinforce the essential support systems that help our communities recover. Our commitment is to ensure that all Floridians have access to the resources they need to thrive well into the future.”
