MADISON, Wis.——Summit Credit Union has opened a new, contemporary-style new location at 5809 Monona Drive here. The 3,700-square-foot building includes four drive-up lanes and 19 parking spaces.
A grand opening celebration is planned January 15–31.
Heidi Segerson, previously at Summit’s Westport branch, has been named manager. The staff of seven includes a mortgage loan officer and Summit Financial Advisor.
Kim Sponem, CEO and president of Summit Credit Union, said the credit union is looking forward to opening the highly visible location to be more convenient.
“We’re excited about being a part of the Monona community with our full-service branch.” said Sponem. “On average, Summit members save nearly $300 per household versus using a typical Wisconsin bank, so we look forward to bringing that savings to even more Monona residents.”
The Monona location brings the total to 34 branches for Wisconsin’s second-largest credit union, with $2.8 billion in assets.
Summit Credit Union also recently broke ground for a six-story, 152,000-square-foot corporate headquarters and campus in Cottage Grove, which will also include a full-service branch, expected to open in spring 2019.
