Suffolk Federal Cuts Ribbon On New Branch

SUFFOLK, N.Y.–Suffolk Federal has officially opened the doors of its newest branch here at 213 North Main Street.

The opening was marked with an official ribbon cutting, which included members of Suffolk Federal’s Board, staff and several Long Island elected officials including Suffolk County Comptroller John M. Kennedy, Jr., Town of Islip Councilwoman Mary Kate Mullen, New York Stater Senator Thomas Croci’s District Office Director Eric Hofmeister and Sayville Chamber of Commerce Board President Robert Blair.

During the ribbon cutting Kennedy shared with the attendees that he was also a member of the credit union and was inspired by their dedication to Suffolk County. “Through such initiatives as their financial education modules, banking products and services as well as their support of the local workforce, Suffolk Federal contributes to the economic and financial stability of Long Island, making it a great place to live and work.  This is a vibrant organization and a great asset to Long Island,” Kennedy added.

As one of the leading credit unions in Suffolk County with assets in excess of $1 billion, the expansion of Suffolk Federal into Sayville will provide another opportunity for members to have greater access to valuable financial services and benefits, the CU stated.

“We are excited to be opening our ninth location in Sayville. This new branch is part of our commitment to provide Suffolk County with outstanding services and financial products that enable our members to achieve their dreams and build a solid financial future,” explained William J. O’Brien, President and CEO of Suffolk Federal.
