BRENTWOOD, N.Y.–Officials from Suffolk Federal Credit Union joined with representatives of Suffolk County Community College and the Suffolk Community College Foundation on the college’s Michael J. Grant Campus to reveal the outdoor partnership sign marking the brand-new Suffolk Federal Credit Union Arena.
Formerly Suffolk County Community College’s Health, Sports & Education Center, the 60,000-square foot, state-of-the-art facility hosts thousands of visitors each year through events including athletic games and expos. Home to three multi-purpose courts, sporting fields, indoor and outdoor running tracks, an eight-lane swimming pool, fully equipped fitness center and more, the center is situated alongside the Long Island Expressway.
The event also marked the first official unveiling of additional naming collateral and branding being implemented throughout the Suffolk County Community College campuses. The afternoon’s festivities ended with an official unveiling of the arena sign.

Spencer, president & CEO of Suffolk Federal.
Like the College and its Foundation, Suffolk Federal said it has been a long-time trusted institution within the Suffolk County community. The credit union said it will bring that same standard of commitment and service to the college’s students through financial education, banking support and the annual awarding of scholarships. This past summer alone, the credit union presented six area graduating high school seniors with $35,000 in combined funding to begin their college careers at Suffolk County Community College last fall.
In addition to the arena’s new branding, changes include additional signage inside and outside the arena, the display of the credit union’s logo on the court floor, the opportunity for Suffolk Federal to participate in tabling at area events as well as student job fairs and recognition on event materials including schedules, student and alumni publications as well as corporate brochures. Additional signage will also be placed at the gym facilities at the College’s Riverhead and Selden Campuses.
