FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.--Brendan Oman, a senior at the University of Arkansas, won $5,000 for sinking four shots in a row, including a culminating half-court shot, in Arkansas Federal Credit Union's Bank Shot competition.
The Bank Shot competition happened at every Razorback men’s home basketball game in January and February. Game attendees were able to sign up for the competition in Bud Walton Arena prior to the game. Participants were selected at random.
Oman’s half-court shot was featured on ESPN’s top 10 plays of the day.
A civil engineering major, Oman was awarded his winnings by Arkansas FCU President and CEO Rodney Showmar at a subsequent game. He said he plans to save most of his winnings.
