SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Justin Stoner, Commercial Lending Officer at Empower Federal Credit Union recently completed coursework at the 2017 Pennsylvania Bankers Association School of Commercial Lending at the Penn Stater Conference Center in State College, Penn. Stoner has over 11 years’ experience within the financial industry prior to joining the Empower team in 2016, and is a graduate of Marist College, Poughkeepsie NY.
“Justin has an extensive background in business relationship development and analytics,” says John Bartolo, vice president of commercial lending at Empower. “Because of his continual eagerness to learn, along with his experience and dedication to serving our business members, he is an excellent asset to our business services team.”
He is active in local community and business groups, including holding a position as an ambassador for the Greater Cicero Chamber of Commerce. He also volunteers with the American Heart Association, Sacred Heart Church and the Salvation Army.
The course work completed provides educational content similar to 200- and 300-level college course study. Topics for this program include: business development, credit structuring, the practical application of commercial lending knowledge, and client and internal communication.
