MANCHESTER, N.H. — The Boys & Girls Club of Manchester has announced the public phase of its capital campaign, More Kids, Brighter Futures aimed at renovating facilities and creating new space to help more youth. St. Mary’s Bank was among the first to kick-start the campaign with a $30,000 donation.
“It was no surprise to see St. Mary’s Bank as one of our first contributors,” said Diane Fitzpatrick, CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Manchester. “They have been a long-time friend and valuable partner of the Club. In addition to financial support, they have helped guide us through our renovation and have taught our kids financial literacy.”
The capital campaign funds will go towards renovating Camp Foster and adding 5,000 square feet of multi-purpose program space while preserving outdoor recreation space at the Union Street Clubhouse. St. Mary’s Bank funds directly supported the addition of a stone fireplace and entrance gate.
“The work the Boys & Girls Club has done in our community is remarkable.” said Ron Covey, president and CEO of St. Mary’s Bank. “Camp Foster is impressive and I’ve seen firsthand how happy the kids are to be there to learn, play, and just be kids.”
The organization’s goal is to serve 6,000 kids by 2020 – a 30% increase.
More Kids, Brighter Futures has generated $5.2 million to date and has begun its public phase to raise the last $650,000 by Dec. 31, 2019.
