St. Cloud Financial Marks 90th Anniversary

ST. CLOUD, Minn.–In honor of its 90th anniversary, St. Cloud Financial Credit Union hosted a week-long, COVID-conscious celebration. The celebration and festivities honored the rich history of the credit union’s cooperative model of giving back to its member- owners, as well as the community.

Members joined the 90th celebration by dropping off food shelf donations while attending the outdoor, drive-through event. During the grab-and-go lunch, attendees remained in their vehicle while receiving lunch prepared by local food trucks and other businesses. The credit union’s members and staff donated $3,200 along with 1,475 pounds of food and, using Second Harvest Heartland calculations, donated the equivalent of 10,829 meals for our community food shelves!

“In such a challenging year, I could not be prouder of our team to have found a way to safely celebrate our 90th anniversary for our member-owners while also making such an enormous impact in our communities with all of the food shelf donations,” said President/CEO Jed A. Meyer. “What a win for our members and for our local food shelves who, according to Catholic Charities, have seen their needs increase from one in 11 this year to one in eight needing food.”
