ST. CLOUID, Minn.–St. Cloud Financial Credit Union created and launched a community driven initiative to help those in need as well as local businesses this holiday season.
The collaboration to support a community need quickly grew when The Servion Group, along with members of the credit union, Greg and Teresa Rueter, and Patrick Mastin all came together to provide hot meals to two local organizations. With 200 meals going to Catholic Charities of the Diocese of St. Cloud – Meals on Wheels Program, and 10 meals to Terebinth Refuge. As part of the collaborative effort, Great River Bowl & Partners Pub prepared all 210 ham dinners.
“This has been a tough year for so many, and we feel it is part of our mission at the credit union to take purposeful action within our community,” stated President and CEO Jed A. Meyer. “With community needs even greater this year due to COVID-19, we have remained focused on doing all we can through partnerships with local businesses and our membership,” states Meyer.
Those partnerships include:
- Collaborating with 21 local businesses, providing 2,700 meals to the staff of the COVID unit at St. Cloud Hospital.
- A food shelf donation drive for local food shelves and Toys for Tots through our members and staff.
- With every consumer loan during the month of December, members will receive a $50 gift card to a local restaurant.
