MIAMI–Miami-Dade County Public Schools Board Member Mari Tere Rojas presented South Florida Educational Federal Credit Union (SFEFCU) with a proclamation recognizing the Credit Union’s Hubert O. Sibley Scholarship Program.
Accepting the proclamation on behalf of the Credit Union were SFEFCU Board Members Alfred Thomas and Henry Horstmann, along with President & CEO Mike DiBenedetto and Executive Vice-President Janell Adams.
“I am excited about receiving this proclamation, and even more excited about the great things we plan to do to support the students of Miami-Dade County,” expressed Mr. DiBenedetto.
Since 1995, the annual scholarship program has awarded more than $3.2 million to 353 college-bound students.
The program is named after Hubert O. Sibley, who served as Credit Union CEO for 54 years.
