TACOMA, Wash.— Sound Credit Union has named Jamie Mullenix senior vice president and chief people and culture officer, adding the longtime credit union executive to its management team as it continues to focus on talent development and organizational growth.
Mullenix most recently served as vice president of people and organizational effectiveness at Peak Credit Union in Olympia, Wash. At Sound, she will oversee talent acquisition, training and development, performance management, compensation and benefits, and broader culture initiatives, according to the credit union.
“Jamie brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will further strengthen the cultural foundation we’ve built at Sound,” Robyn LaChance, executive vice president and chief strategy officer at Sound Credit Union, said in a statement, adding Mullenix’s background aligns with the credit union’s long-term growth goals. Mullenix said she looks forward to helping strengthen what she described as an already strong culture.
Sound Credit Union, founded in 1940, is one of Washington state’s largest credit unions, with 26 full-service branches serving more than 175,000 members across the Puget Sound region.
