STRATFORD, Conn.–Employees from Sikorsky Credit Union organized Back-to-School Drives at their Brookfield, Danbury, Milford, Shelton, Stratford, and Trumbull locations. Each location supports a community-based nonprofit organization and collected needed supplies for local students.
The nonprofit organizations that received donations included the Sterling House, Boys & Girls Club of LNV, McGivney Center, Boys & Girls Club of Milford, Danbury Youth Services, YMCA of Trumbull-Lakewood and the Community Action Agency of Western Connecticut. In addition to school supplies, Sikorsky Credit Union donated an additional $250 to each nonprofit.
“We love being able to contribute to The McGivney Center whenever we can,” said Josie Ponce, manager of the Stationhouse Square branch. “They do great work for children within our community and thanks to the generosity of our members, we can help them achieve their goals.”
