STRATFORD, Conn.--Sikorsky Credit Union representatives Nancy Meszaros, branch manager of the Stratford office, and Brittany Blake, youth initiative coordinator, presented 300 backpacks to Robert J. Wargo, Director of Volunteer Services at Sterling House.
The backpacks will be used for the Sterling House day camp program this summer. Sterling House has provided a day camp program for Stratford youth for more than 70 years, one of many community programs hosted by the 80-year-old organization.
Over the past year, Sikorsky Credit Union has partnered in other Sterling House activities, including sponsoring a Sterling House youth soccer team and providing gifts for children in need during the holiday season. “
We are very thankful for the support that Sikorsky Credit Union has provided to Sterling Park Summer Day Camp.” mentioned Robert Wargo, Director of Volunteer Services at Sterling House. “Every camper will have a backpack to use throughout the summer.” Sikorsky Credit Union employee Nancy Meszaros added, “It is wonderful to have something to give the kids of Stratford that will not only last through camp, but long after summer’s end.”
