DEER PARK, Texas––Shell Federal Credit Union has begun construction on a parking garage and sky bridge located across from the credit union’s corporate office at 301 E 13th Street in Deer Park, Texas.
According to SFCU, the highly anticipated parking garage will contain four stories and include 668 employee parking spaces. A sky bridge will expand across 13th St. to a tower connecting to the current building for staff access. Shell FCU purchased two properties across from its corporate office in 2019, and has since been planning the best use of the land.
“The board of directors has expressed their deepest desire for the corporate office to remain in Deer Park. Since 1937, Deer Park has been Shell FCU’s home. To continue providing exceptional service to our members, we must grow and thus hire additional staffing,” said President/CEO Jose Rodriguez. “This creates many challenges and parking was one of them. This new structure is going to be one of a kind, especially in Deer Park. This is our home and our goal is to continue to give back to our community.”
The parking garage and sky bridge are anticipated to be completed in the spring of 2021. Included in the new structure will be an underground retention, greenery facing homes and security lighting within the parking structure and much more.
