DEER PARK, Texas – Shell Federal Credit Union has presented its John Garrison Scholarship to 10 graduating high school seniors. More than 100 applications from 46 different high schools throughout Harris County, Texas were submitted.
The 10 winners received $2,500 for the college, university or vocational-technical school of their choice.
Since 2001, Shell Federal Credit Union has awarded 128 students with the John Garrison Scholarship award totaling $312,500. The John Garrison Scholarship was established in memory of John Garrison, a dedicated volunteer board member of more than 50 years.
