BALTIMORE—Securityplus Federal Credit Union said it helped raise support for local children’s hospitals through its sponsorship of the 2026 PlayYellow Charity Golf Classic hosted by the Maryland & District of Columbia Credit Union Association.
The event, held May 20 at Hobbit’s Glen Golf Club, brought together credit union leaders and community partners to benefit Children’s Miracle Network hospitals.
According to Securityplus FCU, funds raised through the annual event support critical medical care, specialized equipment, research and family assistance programs at Johns Hopkins Children's Center and Children's National Hospital.
“At Securityplus, we believe community impact goes far beyond banking,” CEO Mike Barr said in a statement. “Supporting initiatives like the PlayYellow Charity Golf Classic allows us to invest in causes that make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families across our region.”
The credit union said its participation reflects an ongoing commitment to community engagement through sponsorships, volunteer efforts and partnerships. Chief People & Impact Officer Obinna Ndukwe said the event demonstrated the value of organizations working together to support a broader community mission.
