SANTA ANA, Calif. — SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union marked the holiday season with a $10,000 contribution to Rady Children’s Health to support holiday gift bags for pediatric patients in Orange County.
The donation helped sponsor gift bags for children receiving care in the neonatal intensive care unit and the mental health unit at the hospital, formerly known as Children’s Hospital of Orange County.
With the funding, SchoolsFirst FCU employees and volunteers assembled 145 gift bags, including 125 for infants in the NICU and 20 for patients in the mental health unit. The bags included toys, activities, and comfort items intended to support children and families during hospital stays over the holidays.
The initiative is part of the credit union’s broader community-outreach efforts, which focus on supporting families and essential services in the communities it serves, particularly during the holiday season.
