LAKE MARY, Fla.–Thanks to a partnership spanning more than 80 years, Addition Financial has been honored by Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) through its Virtual Wall of Distinction at the Crystal Awards.
The Crystal Awards recognize school volunteers and Partners in Education, with the name reflecting the fact that they are highly valued for their lasting impact.
Founded by OCPS teachers in 1937, Addition Financial has sponsored several school district events and provides other support to Orange County Public Schools. The credit union offers a co-branded debit card program, in which Addition Financial donates $0.03 every time the card is swiped. Since the program’s inception in 2009, the credit union has donated more than $616,000 to the school district. In addition, the credit union has student-run branches at five OCPS high schools, including Boone, Colonial, Oak Ridge, Ocoee and Timber Creek High Schools.
