SANTA CRUZ, Calif.– – Santa Cruz Community Credit Union (SCCCU) received three MAC Awards and was a finalist for the prestigious MACQUEE Award at the 2022 Marketing Association of Credit Unions Annual Conference.
The RETURN THE FAVOR Giving Campaign won a Gold Award and was a finalist for the MACQUEE Award. The In Common eNewsletter won a Gold Award, and the Common Insights for BusinesseNewsletter won a Bronze Award (in the same category).
“It’s so rewarding to be recognized by our peers in the industry,” stated Katie Fairbairn, VP of Member Communications and Organizational Development at SCCCU. “We implement countless marketing strategies throughout the year, designed to reach both the members’ goals as well as the credit union’s goals. Winning three MAC awards is an honor and a testament to our commitment to our members.”

The credit union said its RETURN THE FAVOR campaign was something that turned the heads of the judges as well as many other credit unions in attendance at the conference.
“After presenting our campaign, many people approached us to share how incredible it was to see a smaller credit union providing such successful philanthropic work in a community,” stated Fairbairn. “It was gratifying to share how we live our mission to a group of credit union marketing professionals and get the response we received.”
