SANTA CRUZ, Calif.–Santa Cruz Community Credit Union has won a prestigious Ragan Award for its RETURN THE FAVOR Giving Campaign 2021 in the Fundraising & Philanthropic Initiative category.
In addition, SCCCU received Honorable Mention for its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Ragan’s CSR & Diversity Awards celebrate the teams, organizations, and agencies whose work is positively impacting communities, whether internally, locally, or globally.
“I am so honored that SCCCU won a Ragan CSR & Diversity Award. We are a small CDFI/Juntos Avanzamos Credit Union with a small staff, so to be recognized alongside larger, nationwide companies like T-Mobile, Sandusky Labs, and LinkedIn is humbling,” stated Beth Carr, CEO of SCCCU. “But no matter our size, the important thing to remember is we’re making a difference in the lives of our members and that’s what matters the most to us.”
Ragan Communications celebrated all of the finalists from its CSR & Diversity Awards at an awards luncheon at the Yale Club in New York City. It was a show that brought together the community to recognize the influential communications work that has been instrumental in positively impacting communities, whether internally, locally or globally, the credit union said.
