SAN FRANCISCO--San Francisco Federal Credit Union and San Francisco State University were recently joined by San Francisco Supervisor Shamann Walton to celebrate the continuation of their community partnership. with a ceremony to mark the renaming of the SFSU campus gymnasium.The newly named San Francisco Federal Credit Union Gymnasium at Don Nasser Family Plaza stands as a symbol of the two institutions’ shared investment in students, athletics, and the broader San Francisco community.
The partnership, first announced in September 2024, establishes San Francisco Federal Credit Union as the official credit union partner of SFSU. The collaboration is designed to enhance programs and services for students and campus employees, with funding directed toward athletic operations, scholarships, financial education, and career preparedness programming. San Francisco Federal Credit Union’s Foundation also provides annual support to the University’s Presidential Scholars Program. “This partnership represents an investment in our students and in the future of San Francisco State University,” said SFSU President Lynn Mahoney. “San Francisco Federal Credit Union’s support strengthens scholarships, enhances athletics and expands opportunities that help our students thrive both on and off the court.”
