RATHDRUM, Idaho–STCU is opening its sixth North Idaho branch here.
The 3,300-square-foot Rathdrum Branch will be located at the southwest corner of Vera Street and Highway 41, directly across from Lakeland Junior High School, and will have a drive-through with teller and ATM access. Bernardo/Wills Architects PC of Spokane designed the Craftsman-style building, which features a 30-foot railroad mural by North Idaho design firm ArtCoLab, the credit union said.
Since the opening of the Post Falls and Silver Lake branches in 2007, STCU said its membership has more than doubled. More than 30,000 members and 150 credit union employees call North Idaho home. STCU expects new personal and business memberships to keep pace as the region continues to grow.
“As our North Idaho membership expands, we want to make sure that we’re available when and where members need us,” said STCU President and CEO Ezra Eckhardt. “We understand the importance of a convenient, full-service branch where STCU can do what it does best, which is serve our members and the community.”
Branch Manager Suzanna Spencer and Assistant Branch Manager Katie Scardina will lead the branch after working at STCU’s Post Falls and Silver Lake locations, respectively.
“We can’t wait to see some familiar faces, and to make some new friends, in Rathdrum. The new branch is a great opportunity to deepen our ties to a community that many of us know and love,” said Spencer, who also serves as a member of the Rathdrum Chamber of Commerce.
