SSFCU Names Ralston VP-Indirect Lending; Fernandez Named Alumnae of the Year

SAN ANTONIO, Texas--Security Service FCU said Jessica Ralston has been promoted to vice president of indirect lending, responsible for overseeing the operation and expansion of the Central Region Indirect Lending department.

Ralston joined Security Service as a senior loan officer, eventually being promoted to manager and assistance vice president. She is a graduate of Grayson Junior College and a member of Toastmasters.

Also at Security Service, Yvonne Fernandez, vice president of commercial operations, has been named Alumnae of the Year by The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA).

Fernandez, who holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration – finance, is a member of the UTSA College of Business’ Real Estate Finance and Development Founders Council and the Internal Audit Committee. She also serves as an advisory board member for the university’s Small Business Development Center and was past president of the UTSA Alumni Association where she helped raise in excess of $1M to the Endowment Fund in support of scholarships for high school and graduate students. 

“Throughout her 25 years at Security Service, Yvonne has been both a mentor and champion of others, helping them build successful careers,” said Brian Ziemba, senior vice president of commercial services for Security Service. “We congratulate her on this award and are proud of all she has accomplished.”

In addition to her work with UTSA, Fernandez actively serves on the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce education committee and as an advisory board member of the South-West Texas Border Small Business Development Center. In 2008, she was named Financial Services Champion of the Year by the Small Business Administration.
