FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn.–SPIRE Credit Union employees recently participated in the 2015 Miracle Jeans Day Fundraiser. Employees who donated at least $5 to Credit Unions for Kids earned a jeans day in September. Additionally, staff was given a fundraising goal of $1,000 in order to earn the privilege to wear jeans to work an entire week during September. And, through SPIRE’s Give Back Team, the credit union pledged an additional $500 contribution if staff donations reached $1,000.
Thanks to the incredibly generosity of SPIRE employees, the fundraising goal was exceeded. With $1,350 in staff contributions plus $500 in SPIRE contributions, a total of $1,850 was raised for the 2015 Miracle Jeans Day. These funds benefit the local Credit Union for Kids hospital, Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare in St. Paul, Minn.
“Credit Unions are all about people helping people.” says SPIRE President/CEO Dan Stoltz, “Our employees consistently impress me with their generosity!”
