Royal Credit Union Helps 'Rock the Riverfront'

EAU CLAIRE, Wis.– The Royal Credit Union Foundation announced that local charities will receive over $27,000 following the 2017 Rock the Riverfront Featuring the Charity Classic, held in downtown Eau Claire’s Phoenix Park.

The event featured nearly 500 run/walkers and hundreds more who enjoyed the games, activities and food trucks.

The proceeds are being donated to three partner charities: Feed My People Food Bank of Eau Claire, Boys & Girls Club of Chippewa Falls, and Huey’s Hideaway Children’s Museum of Medford/Colby. Registered participants received one free vote at the time of registration; additional votes were available to be purchased online at $2 each. Feed My People received 53% of the votes and will be awarded a $15,000 donation, Huey’s Hideaway Children’s Museum earned 24% of the votes and will receive $7,500, and the Boys & Girls Club-Chippewa Falls will receive $5,000 after earning 23% of the vote.

Royal Credit Union Foundation’s Rock the Riverfront featuring the Charity Classic, included a 10K and 2 mile walk/run, ½ and ¼ mile kids races, “No-K” for non-runners, music, family games, and food trucks. Save the date for next year’s Rock the Riverfront on Saturday, June 23, 2018.
