EAU CLAIRE, Wis.– Royal Credit Union has received the Wisconsin Forward Award Challenger Recognition from The Wisconsin Center for Performance Excellence (WCPE). The awards were presented at the 20th Annual Wisconsin Forward Awards gala at the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center.
Organizations like Royal Credit Union take part in the Wisconsin Forward Award process to enhance its journey toward excellence, the credit union said. Royal was recognized at the Challenger level, which is the first step in the award sequence. The Challenger application is a snapshot of the organization, the key influences on how it functions, and the competitive environment it operates in.
“We are proud to receive this first level of recognition from the Wisconsin Center for Performance Excellence,” said Amy Bauer, Royal Credit Union VP of Shared Project Services. “We strongly believe that the knowledge and insight we are receiving by going through this process will strengthen our credit union and allow us to better serve our Members.”
Wisconsin Forward Award uses the Baldrige Excellence Framework established by the national Baldrige Performance Excellence Program as its evaluation tool. The award program helps organizations continuously strive to implement the best practices in the industry or sector.
“Royal Credit Union offers outstanding benefits to the communities it serves, particularly in the areas of financial literacy and smart decision making,” said Liz Menzer, Wisconsin Center for Performance Excellence Executive Director. “In addition, Royal’s commitment to its workforce and strategic goal setting process helped it earn the Challenger Recognition.”
Royal said it plans to continue its journey to achieve the highest level of performance excellence by following the Wisconsin Forward Award path. Wisconsin Forward Award is one of 34 state based quality programs in the country dedicated to raising productivity.
