EAU CLAIRE, Wis.–Royal Credit Union said it has completed its merger with Peoples Choice Credit Union in Medford.
RCU said the merger offered Royal the opportunity to bring its value proposition and community involvement to an area of Central Wisconsin that is a “logical expansion” because of its close proximity to Royal’s highly successful Colby branch.
The new members were mailed a personal welcome guide explaining the transition process and outlining the benefits of being a Royal Credit Union member.
“Our core purpose of creating a positive impact in the lives we touch drives everything we do at Royal, from leadership decisions to day-to-day interactions with our Members,” said Brandon Riechers, Royal Credit Union president & CEO. “This core purpose is what led us to move forward with the Peoples Choice merger and offer the many benefits available to all Royal Members including high deposit rates, low loan rates, and minimal fees.”
Royal also announced plans for its grand opening celebration the week of Sept. 20. Royal Kid’s Club mascot, Savin’ Sammy, will be in the office on Friday, Sept. 24 from 3-4:30 p.m. to meet families in the Medford community. All week long Members will be able visit the office for a special treat and the chance to enter a drawing for large raffle baskets. Winners will be selected at the end of the week.
