WARNER ROBINS, Ga.–Robins Financial Credit Union has donated $5,000 to the Fort Valley State University Foundation and $4,000 to the Georgia Military College Foundation.
Robins Financial has been a longtime supporter of the Georgia Military College (GMC) Foundation scholarship. The $4,000 donation provides a one-year scholarship for one student. Jermaine Rountree was awarded the 2023 GMC Foundation scholarship and is pursuing a major in Computer Science.
This marks the first year that Robins Financial has donated to the Fort Valley State University (FVSU) Foundation scholarship. The $5,000 donation supports a one-year scholarship for one student. Mark Nooks Jr. was selected as the 2023 recipient of the FVSU Foundation scholarship. Nooks is a rising senior majoring in Middle Grades Education.
“Education is the cornerstone of progress, and we are honored to contribute to the growth of our community’s future leaders,” said Christol Clymer, marketing manager. “Through our support of these scholarships, we hope to alleviate financial strain and allow these students to excel academically and achieve their full potential.”
