Riverfront FCU Opens New Branch, Operations Center

WYOMISSING, Penn.– Riverfront Federal Credit Union celebrated the grand opening of its new branch and operations center.

A ribbon-cutting was held in conjunction with the Greater Reading Chamber of Commerce at 2609 Keiser Boulevard and featured remarks from Riverfront CEO Tim McLeod and Board Chairman John Kline. The day’s events included education about the new branch’s service offering with lots of free giveaways throughout the day.

Festivities continued throughout the week with Give Back/Give Away Day, which was dedicated to raising awareness about Riverfront’s ongoing community involvement initiative and how its newest branch will support Berks County’s not for profits all year long. Marc Goldstein from Blankets of Hope made a guest appearance at the new location as well.

A “Swag Wall” will be available in-branch featuring a selection of Riverfront items available for purchase, with proceeds donated back to local non-profits. Those making a donation were entered into a drawing for a technology gift box including an iPad.

Other festivities included a visit from Screwball, the Fightin’ Phils mascot, food trucks and a Backyard BBQ Starter giveaway. The first 50 people who visited the branch on Saturday received gift card from a local food store and were eligible to enter a drawing for a Yeti cooler complete with two Rambler mugs.

“Over the past several years, we at Riverfront have been working tirelessly to enhance the services and products that our mission requires to better serve you, our member-owner,” said McLeod. “That mission simply is to enhance the financial life of our members and the grand opening of our new headquarters and retail branch culminates the successes we have accomplished in following that mission. As always, we invite you to come and visit so you can experience banking done better.”

The three-level, 34,000-square-foot building houses Riverfront’s next iteration of service offerings with a retail branch design as well as an expanded operations center. The new branch focuses on self-service and blends what members need with technology for added convenience.
