Report Highlights Wescom Foundation Activities

PASADENA, Calif.–The Wescom Foundation, the charitable arm of Wescom Credit Union, has released its 2022 annual report in which it highlights itsachievements in the past year.

Wescom Foundation said it is investing more in nonprofit partners than ever before, totaling more than $3.8 million granted out to date.  

“The Wescom Foundation focuses on critical human needs, financial wellness, and disaster response,” the organization explained.  

Among its 2022 support:

  • Sponsored the Virtual ARC Walk, where Wescom helped raise funds for those living with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Participated in the CO-OP Miracle Match, where Wescom employees cycled, hiked, ran, or walked to support Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and Children’s Health of Orange County.
  • Raised funds via the Bike MS Ride, where it helped make a difference for those living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). 
  • Supported critical human needs through food bank participation and homeless shelter events.
  • Shared financial wellness insights within the community through participation in local school events and summits. 
  • Through generous donations of Wescom employees, made donations to community-based nonprofits with much-needed funds to organizations including, House of Ruth (funding helps those impacted by domestic violence); Thomas House Family Shelter (funding supports families with transitional housing, food etc.); Union Station Homeless Services (funding helps combat homelessness in the San Gabriel Valley, providing meals and housing to individuals and families in need)
  • Matched all member giving to raise and donate more than $214,000 to support humanitarian relief efforts in Ukraine.
