Purdue FCU Introduces Visa Debit Cards For Lafayette Jefferson And Harrison High Schools

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind.—Purdue Federal Credit Union has introduced new Visa debit cards for Lafayette Jefferson and Harrison High Schools.

The card designs feature the Bronco and Raider logos for each school.

In an initiative to engage students and celebrate their creativity, Purdue Federal held design contests inviting students to submit their ideas for the new debit cards. After a public vote, the winning designs stood out for their originality and school pride. Ellianna Lingley, a student at Harrison High School, and Jaxon Vigus from Lafayette Jefferson High School were selected as the winners.

"We are incredibly proud of the talent and school spirit displayed by all of the students at both schools," said Molly Milcarek, Community Relations Specialist at Purdue Federal Credit Union. "This project not only highlights their creativity, but also strengthens our ongoing relationship with our partner high schools."

The new card designs are part of a broader collaboration between Purdue Federal Credit Union and local high schools, aimed at fostering community engagement and financial literacy among students. The debit cards not only serve as functional financial tools, but also as symbols of school unity and pride, the CU said.

Through the end of the year when students aged 14 to 18 open a new student checking account, they can get a free t-shirt to match their new debit card, and we will donate $20 to their school
