TYSONS, Va.–PenFed Credit Union said it has been able to maintain its 2020 summer internships for college students thanks to a combination of virtual and in-office interaction.
To celebrate National Intern Day, interns have been doing a social media takeover to share their experiences interning during such a unique time, the credit union said.
This year's intern class includes 16 students from eight states and D.C.. Interns work together and with employees on a group project to complete a Financial Literacy Toolkit for the PenFed Foundation with marketing, finance and technology components. One day a week the interns learn from PenFed's leaders and participate in philanthropic projects, PenFed said.
