TYSONS, Va.— The PenFed Foundation for Military Heroes said it will host a new Veteran Entrepreneur Program incubator cohort in Tysons June 17-19, offering early-stage veteran founders hands-on support as they work to turn business ideas into launch-ready ventures.
The program will begin with three days of in-person instruction and networking, followed by six weeks of virtual learning. The incubator is aimed at entrepreneurs in the idea-to-minimum viable product stage, targeting veterans who already have a developed concept or early prototype and are ready to refine it with expert guidance.
The PenFed Foundation said the program is designed to help participants strengthen their business models while tapping into the skills many veterans already bring from military service, including resilience, adaptability and quick decision-making.
Retired U.S. Marine Corps Brig. Gen. Terry Williams, director of the Veteran Entrepreneur Program, said the Tysons-based organization is focused on helping veterans in the local community navigate the transition from military service to entrepreneurship by meeting founders where they are and equipping them with tools, guidance and connections to move their ideas forward.
