PENSACOLA, Fla.— PenAir Credit Union has launched SnackStock 2026, a month-long community drive aimed at collecting individually packaged snacks for patients undergoing treatment at Ascension Sacred Heart Cancer Center, in partnership with the hospital and the Pensacola Blue Wahoos.
The initiative kicked off with an event at the cancer center, where leaders from all three organizations emphasized the role of community collaboration in supporting patients and families during treatment. The effort is designed to provide comfort during long appointments, with organizers noting that even small items such as snacks can offer meaningful encouragement.
PenAir said the program was created to address a simple but important need, inviting community members to contribute in a tangible way while reinforcing a broader mission of support. “At PenAir Credit Union, our purpose is to enhance lives, and SnackStock is one way we live that out alongside our partners,” President and CEO Lee Morgan said.
Officials with Ascension Sacred Heart and the Blue Wahoos said the initiative highlights the importance of addressing the emotional and human side of care, with the baseball team helping raise awareness and mobilize community participation around the drive.
