PENSACOLA, Fla.– Pen Air Federal Credit Union paid tribute to fallen Blue Angel pilot Marine Capt. Jeff Kuss through a Day of Remembrance by hanging Blue & Yellow wreaths at all locations and wearing ribbons and Blue Angel shirts along with the entire NAS Pensacola community, which is the home of the Blue Angel flying team.
Capt. Jeff Kuss of the Navy’s Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels, crashed June 2nd during the beginning stages of an afternoon practice at an airport in Smyrna, Tenn.. Capt. Kuss, heroically, steered his aircraft away from a populated area and apartment complex before crashing. Although there was reportedly time to eject, Capt. Kuss remained in the plane ensuring no harm would come to civilians.
“We are extremely saddened by the tragic accident and want to show our support in some way,” Pen Air president/CEO, Stu Ramsey. “Pen Air along with the entire community is mourning the death of Capt. Kuss and is keeping his family in our prayers.”
