Peach State's Foundation Supports Arts Foundation

WATKINSVILLE, Ga.– The Peach State FCU C.A.R.E.S. Foundation has donated $2,500 to the Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation (OCAF).

The contribution will support OCAF’s mission to promote cultural arts and artists, and provide art education to the citizens of Oconee County and the northeast Georgia area.

“We’re so grateful for Peach State’s partnership as well as their understanding of the importance of art to the vibrancy and well-being of our community,” said, Dr. Cyndee Perdue Moore, chair of the OCAF board of directors. “This donation will be put to use immediately to help underwrite the costs of bringing quality exhibitions and programs to OCAF and Oconee County in the months ahead.”

The organization is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charity with a vision to inspire creativity, learning, and personal growth through visual arts exhibitions, art education, cultural events, and community collaborations.

“The C.A.R.E.S. Foundation is committed to helping our members and communities continue to grow through contributions like these,” said Demitra Houlis, president of the Peach State FCU C.A.R.E.S. Foundation. “Education and the arts are crucial to the ongoing development of our communities, and we are proud to support OCAF on their mission to provide access to both.”
