MONROE, Ga. – The Peach State FCU C.A.R.E.S. Foundation announced a $60,000 pledge to the newly founded Walton County YMCA over the next five years.
The “Building a Healthy Walton” campaign aims to bring a state-of-the-art YMCA facility to Walton County. The steering committee currently has a fundraising goal of $10 million.
“We are so pleased to be a part of the first YMCA to be established in Walton County,” said C.A.R.E.S. Foundation President Demitra Houlis. “In celebration of the credit union’s 60th anniversary, the Foundation is honoring our roots through the support of children, educators and school systems throughout our footprint. We look forward to supporting Walton County YMCA as they grow and provide this vital service to our community.”
