Peach State FCU Opens New Branch

YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – Peach State FCU hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of its new branch located at 693 Main Street in Young Harris.

Local officials, credit union staff and community leaders were in attendance for the event.

The credit union’s original branch in Young Harris was located on Robinson Road. The newly renovated, full-service location is on Main Street. The branch offers a 24-hour drive thru ATM to serve members and shared branching services for members of other credit unions. The branch will continue to be staffed by the same Peach State employees. The branch also features a community room where local art from the Creative Placemaking Collaborative will be displayed.

“We’re excited to offer this larger, more convenient branch to our members and we look forward to helping even more area residents with their financial needs,” said Peach State’s executive director of retail services, Crystal Schmidt. “The city of Young Harris welcomed us to the area when the Towns-Union Educators Federal Credit Union merged with Peach State in August 2018 and we look forward to welcoming everyone to this new location.”
