Peach State Awards Scholarships

TOCCOA, Ga.– Peach State Federal Credit Union has created a $3,000 scholarship to assist students at Toccoa Falls College who are pursuing a degree in the field of teacher education. One student in the School of Teacher Education will be awarded the $500 scholarship each semester for the next three years. 

“We are very grateful to Peach State Federal Credit Union for supporting our teacher candidates as they strive for excellence in future classrooms and to make their mark as professional educators,” said Donna Gardner, the chair for the Teacher Education Department at Toccoa Falls College. “We are very proud of our teacher preparation, and the many graduates who have made a lasting impact in classrooms in Georgia and around the world.”

Peach State was founded by educators in 1961 and continues to support education throughout their service area through various scholarships and educational grants. “

We honor our foundation in education by focusing on the support of current and future teachers in their pursuit of further education,” said Marshall Boutwell, Peach State’s president/CEO.
