DUBLIN, Calif.–Patelco has provided support to 10,000 Degrees, which in turn provides support for young people in going to college.
The organization has staff in high schools in eight Bay Area counties who teach kids that dream of college can be a reality.
“Once these kids go to college, the organization continues with their support to ensure their college graduation. Patelco partners with 10,000 Degrees as their financial partner and with volunteers to teach high school students how to budget for college,” the credit union said.
Over the past few months Patelco reported its team members have gone to high schools around the Bay Area supporting an interactive budgeting experience to teach young people how to manage their money while going to college.
“We appreciate the difference this organization is making and are honored to be 1 degree closer towards their mission,” said Patelco President and CEO Erin Mendez.
Patelco Credit Union celebrated the organization at the One Amazing Community Gala.
