HARRISONBURG, Va.–Park View Federal Credit Union announced that Sherwyn Smeltzer has passed the CFP Exam.
The CFP Exam is one of three steps required to earn the Certified Financial Planner designation, in addition to education and experience requirements. It’s a six hour exam covering eight topics including financial planning, education planning, investment planning, tax planning, retirement saving and income planning, estate planning, risk management and insurance planning, and professional conduct and regulation.
“I wish to congratulate Sherwyn on achieving this monumental accomplishment which is a testament to his months of dedicated hard work and studying,” said John Beiler, PVFCU CEO. "Sherwyn is passionate about service and integrity, and I am pleased that he is a member of the Park View team.”
Sherwyn received a Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Mennonite University, a Master’s degree from the University of Virginia and is a Certified Public Accountant.
